Design – Project Management – Installation
This fire protection upgrade project consisted of:
- demolition of all existing sprinkler and fire alarm systems
- installation of new dry-pipe sprinkler and fire alarm systems
- installation of new underground pipe—jack and bored beneath operable railroad tracks
- construction of new valve rooms and a fire pump room that housed a new diesel-driven fire pump
All of this was done within an occupied and fully operational storage facility with end user products being received and shipped daily. The project was phased in a manner that afforded the end user full operation with minimal disruption to business operations. We sub-contracted the construction of the valve rooms and the jack and bore operation.
