Design – Project Management – Installation
This life safety upgrade project, performed entirely by AFPS for Maryland Department of General Services (DGS), included the installation of over 1000 feet of new 6″ and 8″ water mains and complete fire alarm and sprinkler systems in the three major buildings on the Matapeake Marine Terminal campus. The buildings were occupied and operational for the duration of the project. Coordination with the occupants was critical, as the properties are used by five different Department of National Resources (DNR) agencies, including the DNR Police Training Academy. AFPS was successful in completing this job with minimal interruption to the users’ daily routines. All facilities were available to the occupants daily.
Contract Amount: $679,850.
